originated in Kingston, Jamaica is a Jamaican reggae fusion band formed in 1973 with sounds influenced by soul, funk, and disco. Members included: William “Bunny Rugs” Clarke (vocals), Stephen “Cat” Coore (guitarist, cellist), Irvin “Carrot” Jarrett (percussionist), Michael “Ibo” Cooper(keyboard player, guitarist and cellist), Carl Barovier(drummer), Willie Stewart (drummer), AJ Brown (vocals), Richie Daley (bassist), Maurice Gregory (keyboards), Norris “Noriega” Webb (keyboards), Tony “Ruption” Williams (drums)made countless hits with popular favorites like the cover version of the O’Jays “Now That We Found Love,” “Try Jah Love” and much more. Third World signed by Island Records and toured Europe with The Wailers.
